About Us

Carers need to feel confident about leaving our care assistants to care for the person they care for and so our staff are recruited because they have the skills and abilities we feel are necessary to allow the carers to go out and relax, but we also provide training in line with National Care Standards.

We try, as far as possible, to match care assistants to the service users so that a good relationship can be formed.

How does it work?

Our care assistants take the place of a carer for a few hours, usually in the home of the person being cared for and will do what the carer would normally do to care for that person.

After you, or someone on your behalf, contacts us and we feel we can offer some respite the Manager will visit at a time that suits you in order to discuss your needs. A personal care plan will be created and you will be able to suggest days and times most suitable to you. We will try to meet these needs but this will, of course, be dependant on our funding.

If you need help to communicate your views you can ask a friend or relative to help you or we can refer you to an independent advocacy service.
